<title>St. Patrick's Day Parade</title>
<description><![CDATA[Mar. 06, 2010 - Mar. 06, 2010 Everybody's Irish at the 2010 St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. in historic downtown Lemont.  Parade lines up 12:30 p.m. at Safety Village, 55 Stephen Street and will march south on Stephen, west on Main Street, led by Lemont's Irish Queen, Elizabeth Alvey and the Chicago Stockyard Kilty Band.  Entertainment follows at VFW Hall, 15780 New Avenue, featuring Irish dancing, music by Celtic Sounds at 3:00 p.m. and a soda bread contest.  Judging at 4:00 p.m.  Entries must be dropped off by 3:00 p.m. at VFW Hall.  Prizes for the top 3 loaves.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Feb. 15, 2010 - Apr. 15, 2010 2/15/2010 – 4/15/2010 – Lemont Public Library, 50 E. Wend Street, Lemont
The Friends of the Lemont Public Library will provide a $500 college scholarship to a graduating high school senior who resides in the Lemont Public Library District.  Applicants will be required to write a 500 word essay:  “Why don’t teens use the Lemont Public Library more than they do now’ and how would you get them to use the library more often?”  Applications may be picked up at the Lemont Public Library as of February 15, 2010.
